Our Purpose...
EAU is a non-profit organization funded by private contributions to support the urgent and immediate needs of the residents of Crestline, Ca. The primary purpose of
EAU is to offer comforting assistance by generating a network of partners in the mountain communities, gathering and coordinating needed items & services, improving the overall quality of life to those in a time of urgency. EAU consists of a seven-member board complete with a non-profit tax filing, a Treasurer that will make public all of its books and records when a proper request is made and presented to the Board. Donations are accepted, logged and accounted for by its Treasurer who will continuously make written and verbal reports to its Board
Our Board...
can make immediate decisions, with just a single telephone call, comforting assistance is available to those in need. The following assistance is a sampling of the work that EAU accomplishes:
Provide immediate/emergent overnight housing at a local Inn either by supplementing the rate or getting a rate reduction
Provide immediate/emergent food arrangement either by gifts of food or restaurant coupons
Provide 48 hours of meals for grieving families
Provide meals, transportation or errands for senior or diabled shut-ins
Provide assistance for seniors in transportation, tax issues, filing issues, and other 'like' questions
Provide facilitate or direct domestic assistance counseling by professionals
Provide immediate/emergent transportation within a sensible area of mileage
Provide immediate/emergent supplies for pet health AND/OR veterinary assistance
Provide Coordination of the American Red Cross blood drives on behalf of your loved one
Provide assistance in obtaining and/or filling out documentation and faxing, scanning, etc

We do not...
offer assistance for any reason involving ownership of property; financial assistance for more than emergent situations; housing, food or food purveyors for longer than temporary assistance (24 to 48 hours). We are not allowed to work with minors without parental consent.
